Fetal Monitoring Nurse
Job Summary:The Fetal Monitoring Nurse is a critical member of the healthcare team responsible for providing continuous vigilance and tele-nursing focused on early prevention and intervention of abnormal fetal heart rate tracings within the Birthing Center. This role is designed to decrease fetal/neonatal morbidity and mortality by advocating for patients and their families, providing evidence-based care, and utilizing clinical decision support systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide continuous monitoring and tele-nursing services to patients in the Birthing Center
- Identify and intervene in abnormal fetal heart rate tracings to prevent adverse outcomes
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families
- Utilize clinical decision support systems to inform care decisions
- Advocate for patients and their families to ensure their needs are met
- Registered Nurse licensure
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification
- Certified in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) and Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Fetal Monitoring Certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The Fetal Monitoring Nurse will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, providing care to patients and their families in the Birthing Center. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting, communicate clearly and respectfully, and prioritize tasks to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
