Fetal Monitoring Sonographer

CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group, a part of CommonSpirit Health, is seeking a skilled Fetal Monitoring Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the efficient operation of our department.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic and vascular procedures using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structures.
- Obtain patient history, explain routine procedures, and address patient concerns.
- Maintain patient records and files.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- Perform procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist's expectations and protocols.
- Display knowledge and comply with the National Patient Safety goals.
- Support and report any identified compliance matters.
- Participate in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction.
- Maintain professional development and education for technical competency.
- Use standard precautions and PPE at all times.
- Maintain regulatory compliance and licensure for current position.
- Attend all CHI Saint Joseph Health required educational programs and Learn modules.
- Contribute to the efficient operation and monitoring of the department and utilize resources efficiently.
- Demonstrate complete working knowledge of equipment within assigned area.
- Knowledge and performance of the Code of Conduct Standards.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
- Graduate from a school accredited of Radiologic Technology, OR Graduate of AMA Accredited Sonography Program, OR Graduate of accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and/or equivalent clinical experience.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography (S) OR Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR Registered Vascular Technician within 1 year of employment.
- State of Kentucky License, if applicable.
- One specialty area required (OBGYN).
- Takes initiative to proactively address issues and seek solutions when opportunities and challenges are presented.
- Ensures quality care by being attentive to detail, addresses potential safety concerns, and follows our Error Prevention Techniques as outlined by CHI Saint Joseph Health.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Demonstrates integrity by being open and honest in all communications.
