Job Summary

CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group, a part of CommonSpirit Health, is seeking a skilled Fetal Monitoring Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the efficient operation of our department.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic and vascular procedures using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structures.
  • Obtain patient history, explain routine procedures, and address patient concerns.
  • Maintain patient records and files.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
  • Perform procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist's expectations and protocols.
  • Display knowledge and comply with the National Patient Safety goals.
  • Support and report any identified compliance matters.
  • Participate in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction.
  • Maintain professional development and education for technical competency.
  • Use standard precautions and PPE at all times.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and licensure for current position.
  • Attend all CHI Saint Joseph Health required educational programs and Learn modules.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation and monitoring of the department and utilize resources efficiently.
  • Demonstrate complete working knowledge of equipment within assigned area.
  • Knowledge and performance of the Code of Conduct Standards.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from a school accredited of Radiologic Technology, OR Graduate of AMA Accredited Sonography Program, OR Graduate of accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and/or equivalent clinical experience.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography (S) OR Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR Registered Vascular Technician within 1 year of employment.
  • State of Kentucky License, if applicable.
  • One specialty area required (OBGYN).
