Senior Lead, Marketing Research Expert

We are seeking a Senior Lead Manager to join our Competitive Intelligence Team at DIRECTV. This role will manage product and packaging assessments and research on other competitive topics.
Key Responsibilities- Develop competitive assessments of product and UX features from existing and emerging competitors.
- Understand content and packaging landscape with a specific focus on sports and emerging content trends.
- Serve as an internal subject matter expert in specific areas of competitive intelligence and maintain awareness of industry trends and developments.
- Support the team with ad hoc analysis and coverage of competitive trends pertinent to the marketing, content, and customer service organizations.
- Develop reports and presentations for senior management.
- Manage supplier relationships.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in analysis, consulting or strategy required.
- Bachelors/Undergraduate Degree preferred; MBA a plus
- Consulting experience before or after business school highly preferred.
- Background must include analytical research and/or competitive intelligence with experience gathering data, structuring/solving problems, drawing conclusions and formulating recommendations.
- Strong problem-solving and analytic skills.
- Strong communications skills (written and verbal). Candidate should be able to articulate not just the conclusions of the data, but what it means.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint is required. Strong design skills and comfort developing clear and compelling presentations.
- Commitment to high quality work product and attention to detail.
- Ability to execute multiple parallel assignments in a high-quality manner while hitting deadlines.
- Strong work ethic with a passion for information and attention to detail.
- Experience in or a working knowledge of media, entertainment and/or consumer products/services is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
DIRECTV's compensation structure is designed to be market-competitive and fully supports efforts to attract and retain employees. It is the company's policy to offer pay that is competitive with other employers in the local market. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
DIRECTV WAGE ZONES: $116,375 - $211,255
Low (N1): $116,375 - $174,515
Mid (N2): $122,500 - $183,700
High (N3): $134,750 - $202,070
Top (N4): $140,875 - $211,255
Please note that the salary ranges reflect base salary only and do not include bonus or benefits - when you consider all of these together, it represents a pretty impressive total compensation package.
