COBRA Client Manager

Higginbotham Insurance Agency, a leading independent insurance and financial services firm, is seeking a highly skilled COBRA Client Manager to join our team in Richardson, TX.
Job Summary:The COBRA Client Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the COBRA Department for our Higginbotham Public Sector clients. This includes daily support and administration of the plan, client disbursements, and client reports. The COBRA Client Manager will also be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of service, which meets or exceeds the expectations of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Proactive Client Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing timely and effective communication regarding COBRA and State Continuation inquiries.
- Manage Established Book of Business: Oversee the daily operations of the COBRA Department, ensuring seamless execution of client services and administrative tasks.
- Answer Client Inquiries: Respond to client COBRA and State Continuation questions in a timely manner, preferably within 4 business hours.
- Communicate with Clients and Carriers: Collaborate with clients, carriers, and Higginbotham staff to ensure accurate and timely communication regarding enrollments, eligibility, payments, implementations, website training, open enrollment, and renewals.
- Data Entry and Reporting: Process high-volume data entry and use spreadsheets to ensure accurate and timely reporting of client information.
- Issue Resolution: Assist in resolving client and participant issues, interacting with account management teams to resolve eligibility issues and other identified issues.
- Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of Federal COBRA regulations and ensure strict compliance with all COBRA and HIPAA requirements.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to perform daily tasks and reporting.
- COBRA Knowledge: Understand COBRA requirements, SPDs, and benefit summaries to provide accurate information to clients.
- Project Management: Possess the ability to multitask and lead projects to a successful closure.
- Interpersonal and Troubleshooting Skills: Utilize excellent interpersonal and proactive troubleshooting skills to resolve client issues.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Possess strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Customer Service: Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers.
- Independent Work: Ability to work independently, assess situations quickly, and make logical and appropriate decisions.
- COBRA Experience: 1+ years of experience in COBRA/business/industry is required.
- Project Management Experience: Project management experience is preferred.
