Role: Georgia Pre-K Teacher Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Georgia Pre-K Teacher Assistant. In this role, you will play a crucial part in preparing young children for their transition into formal education. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate their learning experiences and introduce them to essential concepts they will encounter in school.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep affection for children and demonstrate patience in guiding them through their early educational journey. Effective teaching in this environment requires a solid understanding of preschool educational practices and the ability to engage children in a manner that fosters trust and attention.

Compensation: Starting at $16.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a thoughtful and imaginative curriculum tailored for children aged 4-5 years.
  • Utilize diverse educational strategies, including storytelling and interactive play, to enhance learning.
  • Monitor each child's development to support their social skills and self-esteem.
  • Encourage peer interactions and assist in resolving conflicts among children.
  • Facilitate artistic and practical learning through a structured program (e.g., identifying shapes, numbers, colors, and engaging in crafts).
  • Organize and supervise nap and snack times, ensuring a safe environment.
  • Track and communicate children's progress to parents.
  • Engage with parents to gain insights into each child's background and emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance the learning experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Pre-K Teacher Assistant.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and preschool teaching methodologies.
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards applicable to educational settings.
  • Exceptional communication and instructional abilities.
  • Capability to mediate and facilitate interactions among children.
  • Friendly, reliable, and composed demeanor.
  • Creative mindset balanced with practical skills.
  • Certification in child CPR is required.

Minimum Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • Possession of a TCC or CDA to complement the Early Childhood Education requirement.
