Role: Pre-K Educational Assistant

At Premier Early Learning Academy, we are committed to nurturing the next generation. We are seeking a dedicated Pre-K Educational Assistant to facilitate the transition of young children into structured learning environments. This role is crucial in helping children grasp foundational concepts that will prepare them for their educational journey ahead. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of effective teaching practices and preschool methodologies, coupled with the ability to engage and inspire trust among young learners. Our goal is to support the emotional and cognitive growth of each child, ensuring they are well-prepared for their next educational phase.

Compensation: Starting at $16.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a thoughtful and imaginative curriculum tailored for children aged 4-5 years.
  • Utilize diverse educational strategies (such as storytelling, interactive play, and multimedia) to enhance learning experiences.
  • Monitor each child's development to foster social skills and boost self-esteem.
  • Encourage peer interactions and assist in resolving conflicts.
  • Guide children in developing their creative and practical skills through a structured curriculum (including activities like identifying shapes, numbers, and colors, as well as crafting).
  • Organize and supervise nap and snack times to ensure a safe environment.
  • Track and communicate children's progress to parents.
  • Engage with parents regularly to gain insights into each child's background and emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance the learning environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Pre-K Educational Assistant.
  • Strong knowledge of child development principles and preschool educational practices.
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation protocols for educational settings.
  • Exceptional communication and teaching abilities.
  • Capability to mediate and facilitate interactions among children.
  • Friendly, dependable, and composed demeanor.
  • Ability to balance creativity with practical problem-solving skills.
  • Certification in child CPR is preferred.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • Possession of a TCC or CDA to complement the Early Childhood Education requirement.
