Senior Tax Manager Job Description

Lincoln Search Consultants Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager to join our team. As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for financial reporting for income taxes, income tax compliance, tax basis of fixed asset reporting, and income tax planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly and annual U.S. income tax provisions in accordance with GAAP, including deferred tax assets and liabilities.
  • Income Tax Installments: Oversee and review the calculation of all income tax installments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Cash Management and Refunds: Utilize annual budget and financial forecasts to minimize cash payments and expedite refunds where applicable.
  • Compliance Processes: Coordinate information and compliance processes with various company subsidiaries and external service providers.
  • Tax Returns: Thoroughly review all U.S. income and franchise tax returns to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Annual Report Filings: Monitor and ensure timely filing of all required annual reports.
  • Tax Fixed Asset Calculations: Review calculations related to tax fixed assets for accuracy and compliance.
  • Standardized Policies and Procedures: Identify and recommend standardized policies and procedures to streamline and enhance the efficiency of tax preparation processes.
  • Tax Audits and Correspondence: Manage all tax audits effectively, including responding to tax notices and related correspondence in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in taxation and financial reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA or MST preferred.
  • Working knowledge of state and local tax, including incentives for doing business in specific states, counties, and cities.
  • Thorough understanding of the financial statement audit function and financial reporting related to income taxes.
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with treasury and legal departments on tax matters.
