About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our research team at the Department of Biochemistry in the School of Medicine at West Virginia University. The successful candidate will work closely with the principal investigator to investigate the mechanistic roles of protein machinery involved in protein degradation using various in vitro and in vivo methods.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to fundamental cell biology, cancer, and neurodegenerative disease research. The selected candidate will join a highly productive and active research laboratory with a strong track record of publishing peer-reviewed papers.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in a biomedical field and experience in enzymology, protein purification, cell culture, and C. elegans. Strong scientific writing skills and the ability to design and conduct experiments rigorously and independently are essential.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in a biomedical field
  • Experience in enzymology, protein purification, cell culture, and C. elegans
  • Basic biomedical wet lab skills
