We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team at the West Virginia University Research Corporation. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will be responsible for conducting research in the Department of Physiology, Pharmacology & Toxicology, focusing on the impact of mixed combustion inhalation exposures on systemic health.

  • Design and conduct experiments to elucidate the effects of mixed combustion inhalation exposures on systemic health
  • Collaborate with researchers and graduate students to collect and analyze data
  • Develop and implement new research methods and techniques
  • Present research findings at scientific meetings and publish in peer-reviewed journals
  • Assist in the development of grant proposals and research projects

  • Ph.D. in physiology, toxicology, biology, biomedical engineering, or a relevant biomedical field
  • Two years of hands-on experience in laboratory animal models and surgical techniques
  • Ability to work with laboratory animals, including handling, breeding, dosing, and surgery
  • Independence and leadership traits
  • Travel to scientific meetings and present research findings
