Position Overview

Delaware North Sportservice is seeking seasonal Food Runners to enhance our operations at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you will be tasked with efficiently transporting food from the kitchen to guests, ensuring a seamless dining experience.

This position offers valuable training and mentorship opportunities, allowing you to develop your skills within a prominent hospitality organization.

Compensation

Please be aware that this is a tipped role; the hourly wage mentioned does not encompass potential tips.

$7.25 - $7.25 / hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings, noting essential service information
  • Work collaboratively with chefs, kitchen staff, and servers to ensure timely food preparation and delivery; assist in the presentation of dishes
  • Perform table-side service, which may involve taking and delivering orders and explaining menu items to guests
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu offerings, ingredients, and preparation methods; be able to identify items by appearance
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen and service areas
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience or training as a Runner or Busser in a similar dining environment preferred
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • No high school diploma or GED is necessary
Physical Demands
  • Continuous standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions; may involve navigating stairs
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds for setup, service, and cleanup
  • Capability to maneuver between tables and around corners
  • Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for taking orders and preparing checks
