Position Overview:

The Patient Registration Specialist within the Float Pool at AdventHealth Centra Care plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive initial experience for patients. This position is essential in fostering a welcoming environment where patients feel valued and respected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance customer service by managing the patient experience effectively.
  • Handle incoming calls and address patient inquiries to ensure swift and accurate resolutions.
  • Exhibit age-appropriate communication skills, capable of assessing and interpreting relevant patient data.
  • Collect essential demographic, employment, insurance, and medical condition information to facilitate precise patient registration.
  • Gather client details for workers' compensation and corporate accounts, confirming authorization and requested services.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Current CPR certification must be maintained; if not valid at the time of hire, it must be obtained within the first ninety days of employment.

Work Environment:

This position requires flexibility in scheduling, with full-time availability needed, including rotating weekends. The role involves floating to various clinics within the Central Florida area.
