Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a positive experience for every patient by embodying the principles of the CDI Experience.
- Utilize advanced computerized systems to monitor and document the heart's electrical activity and pressure levels.
- Deliver technical expertise for the assessment, diagnosis, and identification of cardiac conditions.
- Capture high-quality images of the heart using echocardiography to evaluate cardiac function and detect any irregularities.
- Employ analytical sonographic techniques to accurately interpret and adapt procedures based on anatomical and diagnostic information.
- Exercise independent judgment during examinations to distinguish between normal and abnormal findings.
- Assess blood flow by evaluating the body's oxygen consumption.
- Analyze oxygen levels in blood samples from heart chambers to identify potential cardiac defects.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and monitor patient conditions during stress testing for cardiovascular issues.
- Provide a comprehensive summary of technical findings to the interpreting physician, either orally or in writing.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues, gathering relevant data to determine potential causes and solutions.
- Coordinate scheduling with supervisors to ensure adequate coverage of workload.
- Maintain the safety and comfort of patients under sonographic care.
- Assist in the daily operations of the sonographic department.
- Demonstrate accuracy in electronic data entry and maintenance.
- Keep a daily record of patients examined and complete necessary billing documentation.
- Ensure ultrasound equipment and workspaces are well-maintained and stocked with supplies.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Foster ethical relationships and effective communication with hospitals and referring physicians.
- Keep supervisors informed about assignment statuses and assist in achieving departmental goals.
- Remain proactive in enhancing knowledge and skills related to the field and emerging procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
