Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Analyst to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for coordinating all purchasing and disbursement activities for the Stem Cell Research Center.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and process purchase orders, using UCI Buy, PALCard or KFS to process orders and payments for services and supplies, equipment purchases, and reimbursements.
  • Resolve procurement problems, including prompt return and replacement of damaged or incorrect items, and assist with troubleshooting delivery or payment issues with vendors, purchasing, or accounting.
  • Process appropriate paperwork through KFS and work with Campus to ensure payment is finalized.
  • Provide administrative support, including back-up PCDO reconciliation, and coordinate SCRC administrative meetings.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of policies, regulations, and guidelines concerning procurement utilizing extramural funds, with a demonstrated understanding of audit/financial implications of procurement transactions.
  • Ability to independently prioritize workload to complete duties and meet deadlines in a timely fashion, with periods of frequent interruptions, and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, and understanding of customer service focus to work effectively with faculty, staff, student employees, vendors, and other campus administrators.
  • Ability to work with detailed information with a high level of accuracy.
  • Detailed knowledge of general policies and procedures for purchasing, material management, travel/entertainment/reimbursement, as well as basic accounting principles.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Procurement, Business, and Contracts Principles of Purchasing, General Sales Tax Laws, and intermediate level of understanding associated with accounting principles and reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience working in a similar environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with processing KFS documents, TAM, DV, and UCIBuy.

Expected pay range: $58,600- $69,150
