About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Service Representative to join our team at Access Dubuque. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check-in patients for appointments and ensure a smooth and efficient registration process.
  • Interview patients to complete insurance and privacy forms, and verify patient demographics and insurance information.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, cancelations, check-ups, and physician referrals.
  • Answer telephones and respond to patient inquiries regarding insurance and payments, and direct calls to the appropriate staff member.
  • Review, update, or obtain patient information to ensure accurate billing and enter demographics into our system.
  • Schedule/cancel appointments for patients and ensure all procedures are properly scheduled in our computer system.
  • Perform clerical duties to support the daily operation of our practice.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three months to one year of similar or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
  • Knowledge of patient scheduling programs and electronic medical records preferred.
