We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Tech to join our team at Deborah Heart and Lung Center. As a Patient Care Tech, you will provide direct and indirect patient care duties and technical tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Nurse Manager.
Responsibilities- Perform various patient care duties, including vital sign collection, medication administration, and wound care.
- Assist with technical tasks, such as EKGs and phlebotomy.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of arrhythmia recognition and other relevant medical concepts.
- High School degree or equivalent required; completion of Patient Care or Multi-skilled Tech certification program preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience as a nursing assistant, EKG Technician, Phlebotomist, or other related healthcare experience required.
- American Heart BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
- Nurse Aide certification, EKG certification, and/or Phlebotomy certification.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well with others.
This is a per diem position working 7P-7A shift.
