Patient Care Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Deborah Heart and Lung Center. As a Patient Care Technician, you will perform direct and non-direct patient care duties and technical tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Director of Critical Care Nursing.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care duties, including vital sign collection and documentation.
- Perform technical tasks, such as EKGs and phlebotomy, as assigned.
- Assist with patient transfers and positioning.
- Participate in arrhythmia recognition programs and maintain certification.
- Develop and maintain excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Requirements:
- High School Degree or equivalency.
- Completion of Patient Care or Multiskilled Tech certification program.
- American Heart BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
- Preferred: Nurse Aide certification, EKG certification, and/or Phlebotomy certification.
Work Environment:
This is a per diem position working 7P - 7A shift. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality patient care.
