Patient Care Technician

Description
As a Patient Care Technician at Deborah Heart and Lung Center, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect patient care duties and technical tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Director of Critical Care Nursing. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with their daily needs, perform various medical procedures, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience as a nursing assistant, EKG Technician, Phlebotomist, or other related healthcare experience
- Preferred: 1-3 years of experience as a PCT
Education and Credentials
- High School Degree or equivalency: completion of Patient Care or Multi-skilled Tech certification program
- American Heart BLS Healthcare Provider certification
- Preferred: Nurse Aide certification, EKG certification, and/or Phlebotomy certification
Skills and Abilities
- Arrhythmia recognition program within 3 months of hire
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well with others, conscientious, organized, and reliable
- Computer skills for hospital information system
- Ability to read and write English
Work Schedule
- Per Diem position
- 7P - 7A shift
