Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Tech to join our team at Deborah Heart and Lung Center. As a Patient Care Tech, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect patient care duties and technical tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Director of Critical Care Nursing.
Key Responsibilities- Perform direct and indirect patient care duties and technical tasks as assigned by and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Director of Critical Care Nursing.
- Assist with patient care activities, such as vital sign monitoring, wound care, and medication administration.
- Operate medical equipment, such as EKG machines and phlebotomy devices.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care activities.
- High School Degree or equivalency.
- Completion of Patient Care or Multiskilled Tech certification program.
- American Heart BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
- Preferred: Nurse Aide certification, EKG certification, and/or Phlebotomy certification.
- 13 years of experience as a nursing assistant, EKG Technician, Phlebotomist, and/or other related healthcare experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others, conscientious, organized, and reliable.
- Computer skills for hospital information system.
- Ability to read and write English.
This is a per diem position working 7P - 7A shift.
