Job Title: Patient Service Representative
Job Summary:
Cancer Care Of North Florida is seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative to join our team. As the first point of contact for patients and families, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and families, providing a warm and welcoming environment
- Answer incoming calls, respond to emails, and manage patient inquiries
- Schedule patient appointments, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling
- Process patient payments, including receipting and recording payments
- Update patient demographic and insurance information, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Obtain insurance verifications, pre-authorizations, and pre-determinations
- Process requests for medical records from outside sources
- Scan data into document imaging software, maintaining accurate and secure records
- Contribute to a team effort, achieving results and meeting deadlines
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One year of office experience preferred
- Ability to type 35 wpm
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience accessing and updating an EMR system
- Preferred skills: knowledge of medical terminology, bilingual in Spanish
