Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Fire Marshal to join our team at Imperial County, CA. As a key member of our emergency services department, you will be responsible for coordinating, operating, and directing emergency services and training activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the coordination and direction of emergency services and training activities
  • Plan, organize, and direct the day-to-day activities of the fire prevention office
  • Assist in directing prevention and enforcement operations
  • Act as a representative of the Fire Marshal in their absence
Requirements
  • Any combination equivalent to a two-year college degree in fire science, law enforcement, or a closely related field
  • Three years of full-time paid experience in a fire department or emergency services organization involving public safety and training
  • Valid California driver's license
  • Valid certificate issued by the California State Board for Fire Services for Fire Officer
  • Valid certificate issued by the California State Board for Fire Services for Fire Prevention Officer I (obtained within one year of employment)
Working Conditions

This position may require pre-employment drug testing, physical examinations, and fingerprinting for a background investigation.
