Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and their families warmly.
- Manage incoming calls, distribute faxes, and organize patient documentation.
- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments efficiently.
- Accurately process and record patient payment receipts.
- Input, verify, and update patient demographic and insurance details.
- Conduct insurance verifications, pre-authorizations, and pre-determinations.
- Handle requests for medical records from external sources.
- Utilize document imaging software for data scanning.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
- Contribute to team goals by achieving related outcomes as necessary.
- Ensure timely processing and reporting to meet deadlines consistently.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Flexibility to work varied schedules as needed.
- Typing proficiency of at least 35 words per minute.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- One year of experience in an office setting is advantageous.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
