Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Regional Sales Representative to join our team at Story Cannabis Co.. This role is pivotal in driving sales and enhancing brand visibility within the cannabis wholesale market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with wholesale clients to deliver impactful presentations that influence purchasing decisions, ultimately boosting sales and brand recognition.
  • Collaborate with wholesale partners to assess their needs and propose tailored solutions aimed at increasing the sales of the Story brand.
  • Conduct regular visits to customer locations to promote products, enhance sales opportunities, and gather competitive insights.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies for your designated territory.
  • Monitor essential sales metrics, including product placements and the establishment of new accounts.
  • Enhance product marketability through effective shelf management, display optimization, and pricing strategies.
  • Perform daily sales outreach to maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Analyze sales activities to identify performance gaps and ensure achievement of sales targets.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align strategies and ensure adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities; engage potential suppliers or customers, prepare proposals for management review, and oversee negotiation processes.
  • Negotiate favorable contract terms with vendors to ensure mutual benefit.
  • Regularly review sales reports to identify opportunities for inventory management and pricing adjustments.
  • Conduct market analysis to assess competition and manage key performance indicators.
  • Utilize reporting tools to track progress against established sales objectives.
  • Research and analyze current and future market trends, focusing on target demographics.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesalers and suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
  • Evaluate financial risks associated with purchases.
  • Participate in trade shows and industry events to stay informed about new products and market trends.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team.
  • Drive efforts to enhance market share and brand presence.
Qualifications
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of managing high-pressure situations with flexibility and adaptability.
  • Self-driven with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Possess valid employment documentation.
  • Experience in cannabis sales is essential.
  • Knowledge in horticulture or agriculture is preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with industry-specific tools such as Leaf Trade, Dutchie, and Metrc.
  • Willingness to travel within the designated region.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Proficient in using a computer for prolonged durations.
Education
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
