Behavioral Health Service Line Operations Director

The Director of Behavioral Health Service Line Operations provides strategic oversight of all Behavioral Health services, ensuring consistency of service delivery and treatment programs across the Mid-Atlantic region. This role focuses on access, quality, service, and affordability, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Management: Lead a team of managers responsible for the daily operation of behavioral health services throughout the region.
- Supervision and Development: Supervise Behavioral Health Managers in the KP Mid-Atlantic region, managing and overseeing staffing, scheduling, personnel issues, labor issues, and other matters.
- Operational Planning and Execution: Plan, facilitate, and execute Behavioral Health Operations meetings to ensure all managers are working in accordance with the department's operational plan, targets, initiatives, and deliverables.
- Standardization and Improvement: Standardize workflows across the region, reducing service area variation and ensuring timely access to high-quality services.
- Quality and Performance: Develop and implement action plans to meet or exceed identified targets for HEDIS, MPS, and other quality metrics.
- Innovation and Collaboration: Develop and implement innovative programs and workflows, policies, practices, and guidelines to meet and/or exceed quality, access, patient/staff safety, and efficiency targets and goals.
- Compliance and Accreditation: Ensure compliance with all accreditation, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
- Travel and Representation: Travel to all Behavioral Health locations monthly, or as often as needed, and represent the Behavioral Health Management team in the KP Mid-Atlantic region.
- Experience: Minimum five (5) years of experience in a healthcare setting and three (3) years in a behavioral health setting.
- Education: Master's Degree in psychology, social work, education, nursing/advanced practice nurse, PhD Psychologist, or Master's degree in business administration, health administration, or healthcare leadership.
- Additional Requirements: Previous management experience is required, and the ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment is essential.
- Analytical and Presentation Skills: Experience analyzing and interpreting data, creating reports, and preparing and delivering presentations to senior leadership.
- Integrated Medical System Experience: Experience working within an integrated medical system is preferred.
- Collaboration and Leadership: Experience collaborating with physicians (all specialties) and managing managers is preferred.
