Job Summary

Comerica Management Co Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Lending department, you will be responsible for cultivating new business relationships, maintaining and developing customer relationships, and negotiating loan structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business growth strategies to increase profitability
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships through regular communication and relationship-building activities
  • Negotiate and structure loan agreements to meet customer needs
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market conditions to provide expert advice to customers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Completion of a Commercial Credit Training Program
  • 12-18 months of experience underwriting commercial loans
  • 2 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
  • Assistant Vice President, Relationship Manager II, Technology and Life Sciences
  • 3 years commercial lending experience
  • 2 years managing a portfolio of clients
  • 2 years financial sales experience
Work Environment

This role requires a minimum of 10% travel time. The work schedule is 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday, with designated days or varying week-to-week from 2-5 days.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $100,000 - $175,000 annually, subject to change based on factors such as position, grade level, location, skillset, and peer compensation.
