Job Overview

LOGISTEED America, Inc. is looking to enhance our Import Operations team with a dedicated professional based in our Torrance, CA office.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate essential expertise in international import logistics. This role demands exceptional organizational abilities, adeptness at managing multiple tasks, and a commitment to delivering precise workflows in a dynamic, high-pressure freight forwarding environment. While the primary focus will be on ocean import logistics, there may be opportunities to support air import operations as required.

  • Preparing and verifying all necessary transportation documentation to meet customs and insurance regulations, packing requirements, and compliance with both local and international laws
  • Coordinating with third parties to facilitate the movement of goods via various transport modes
  • Arranging air transport for urgent and high-value shipments while managing risks throughout the process
  • Collaborating with US Customs Brokerage to navigate complex import procedures efficiently
  • Working closely with clients, team members, and external partners to ensure timely operations
  • Maintaining communication and oversight throughout all stages of the shipment process, including generating management reports and statistics
  • Staying informed about relevant legislation, political developments, and other factors that may impact freight movement
  • Managing multiple global customers and coordinating shipments across various carriers and transportation modes
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management

Preferred Qualifications and Working Conditions

Previous Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of operational experience in freight forwarding is preferred

Education and Certifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required

Additional Skills and Requirements

  • Familiarity with CargoWise is advantageous
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining customer relationships

  • Ability to meet TSA background check requirements
  • Knowledge of ISF filing procedures
