Youth Justice Senior Therapist

Eliot is seeking a licensed Senior Clinician with experience working with clinical issues of children and adolescents. Our ideal candidate will have supervisory experience, knowledge of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultural groups.
Responsibilities- Develop and Maintain Relationships: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with youth, parents, referral sources, siblings, and extended support networks.
- Provide Therapy Services: Offer individual and family therapy in accordance with program, department, and organizational policies and procedures.
- Manage Individual Service Plans: Develop and implement Individual Service Plans for youth, ensuring comprehensive intervention and support.
- Supervise Case Management: Oversee case management and advocacy for youth, ensuring timely and effective support.
- Community Knowledge: Possess knowledge of resources in each community, facilitating access to necessary support services.
- Administrative and Clinical Meetings: Attend administrative, staff, and shift change meetings, as well as facilitate clinical and community meetings.
- Staff Training and Development: Participate in staff training and development, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Master's Degree and Licensure: Master's degree in the Healing Arts and independent licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
- Experience and Knowledge: At least three years of direct experience working with the population, knowledge of clinical issues of children and adolescents, and working knowledge of DBT and substance abuse.
- Supervisory Experience: At least one year in a supervisory role, demonstrating leadership and management skills.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Proficient in English, with effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships.
- Cultural Competence: Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultural groups, promoting inclusivity and respect.
- Crisis Prevention and Intervention: Ability to physically carry out Crisis Prevention Intervention techniques, ensuring the safety and well-being of youth and staff.
