Senior Residential Clinician for Youth Justice

Eliot is in search of a licensed Senior Clinician with expertise in addressing the clinical needs of children and adolescents. The ideal candidate will possess supervisory experience, familiarity with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and the capability to engage effectively with diverse populations and cultural backgrounds.

Eliot's juvenile justice initiatives encompass a residential framework for youth aged 13 to 21 who are involved with the court system and require placement while awaiting further legal proceedings, assessment, or extended treatment. These highly structured, self-contained programs provide a comprehensive intervention strategy for juvenile offenders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain productive working relationships with youth, families, referral sources, and community support systems.
  • Deliver individual and family therapy in alignment with program, Department of Youth Services (DYS), Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC), and Eliot Community Health Services (ECHS) policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of Individual Service Plans.
  • Supervise case management and advocacy efforts for youth.
  • Possess knowledge of community resources available to youth.
  • Participate in administrative, staff, and shift change meetings, and lead clinical and community discussions.
  • Assist in organizing and engaging in staff training sessions.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field and independently licensed as a LICSW, LMFT, or LMHC, with a minimum of three years of direct experience with the target population.
  • Understanding and experience with clinical challenges faced by children and adolescents, along with a working knowledge of DBT and substance abuse issues.
  • At least one year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Proficiency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to cultivate and sustain professional relationships with residents, colleagues, and supervisors.
  • Capacity to work effectively with diverse populations and cultural groups.
  • Physical ability to implement Crisis Prevention Intervention techniques.
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling options.

Salary: $70,000

Additional 6% salary increase for bilingual candidates fluent in the required language.

The sign-on bonus is prorated for positions under 40 hours per week.
