Position Summary: We are currently seeking a Business Service Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in assisting our Lending Division by delivering exceptional customer service to both prospective and existing clients. The specialist will guide applicants through the loan application process using our online system, engaging in consultative discussions to identify their financial needs and propose suitable lending solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with all referrals promptly, adhering to established timelines.
- Keep clients informed about their application status and necessary actions to achieve their goals.
- Communicate professionally with clients via various channels including phone, email, and video.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, fostering strong client relationships.
- Accurately process loan applications through our online platform, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to determine eligibility for appropriate lending products.
- Maintain and update the Referral System with relevant customer information.
- Compile necessary documentation for loan processing, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
- Provide timely updates on the status of assigned referrals.
- Conduct outreach to potential clients and referral sources as per compliance guidelines.
- Support the BSS Team Leader, Underwriters, and Closers by providing comprehensive information regarding customer applications and addressing any issues that arise.
- Maintain communication with Alliance Partners regarding their referrals.
- Develop a strong understanding of Newtek's Loan Policies related to various lending programs to effectively inform applicants.
- Promote additional Newtek products and services to clients, emphasizing the value of creating partnerships that support their business growth.
Qualifications:
- Intermediate proficiency in computer and phone skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-motivated with a collaborative team spirit.
- Ability to quickly learn about company offerings.
- Experience in sales or lending is advantageous.
- Understanding of financial documentation, including tax returns and cash flow projections.
- A minimum of 1-4 years of customer service experience.
- Capability to multitask and manage multiple applications simultaneously.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and plan effectively.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field is required.
