Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Manager to oversee logistics operations, ensuring efficient management and delivery of materials for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional management of logistics operations.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and team members.
  • Work closely with the Procurement team and Project Managers to coordinate material delivery schedules.
  • Generate inventory reconciliation reports and address discrepancies.
  • Monitor shipment statuses and provide regular updates.
  • Collaborate with project Superintendents to ensure adequate staffing for material management tasks.
  • Verify that site preparation is completed to facilitate logistics and material deliveries.
  • Guide material handling teams to ensure compliance with established processes.
  • Maintain daily communication with vendors and subcontractors regarding delivery schedules.
  • Identify and address potential scheduling conflicts and workflow issues.
  • Manage the material delivery schedule and resolve logistics-related challenges.
  • Engage with Port authorities and trucking firms to find solutions as necessary.
  • Oversee maintenance scheduling for on-site equipment.
  • Review logistics invoices for accuracy and compliance.
  • Establish and implement effective communication processes on-site.
  • Supervise on-site logistics personnel.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in the construction or renewable energy sectors.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, production rates, and equipment selection.
  • Ability to develop complex procedures with minimal oversight.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a knack for problem-solving.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Must pass a thorough background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this role include:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Minimal physical effort with occasional light lifting.
  • Occasional lifting or moving of items up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:

This position is characterized by:

  • Normal safety precautions with minimal occupational health risks.
  • Moderate noise levels.
  • High concentration requirements due to workload and deadlines.
