Job Summary:

The Chief Supply Chain Officer is responsible for leading the development and implementation of a dynamic and responsive supply chain operation and health technology management (eQuip) operation at Sutter Health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic supply chain plan to maximize quality, price, and service for all system affiliates.
  • Lead the supply chain services team to ensure financial, operational, and regulatory performance of system-wide sourcing, procurement, distribution, logistics, supply chain informatics, and health technology management.
  • Provide management direction to regional directors of supply chain services.
  • Represent the organization on assigned related boards and oversee assigned vendor services.
  • Participate in due diligence efforts on sales/acquisitions and represent the organization in any related matters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Business, Finance, Management, or Health Care Administration or equivalent education and experience.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification desired.
  • Demonstrated experience in progressively responsible positions in healthcare or a health plan environment with a strong financial background.
  • Demonstrated experience operating within an entity at regional levels.
  • Demonstrated success in directing and managing health-related businesses to profitability.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in acute, non-acute, or medical group operations.
  • Familiarity with assigned businesses in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
  • Familiarity with system design and system integration.
  • Knowledge of JCAHO and Title 22 regulations related to areas of responsibility.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, oral, and presentation skills.
  • Well-developed problem-identification, analytical, and problem-resolution skills, as well as persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence others without direct lines of authority.

Working Conditions:

The primary office location of this position is within the Sutter Health footprint.
