Job Summary

The primary function of this position is to provide support for the supply chain management team in maintaining the continuous flow of supplies and services required by UC Davis Medical Center. This includes the acquisition of medical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation used in providing patient care, as well as the equipment and parts needed to operate and maintain the health system's physical plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment to meet the needs of the medical center.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including tracking and reporting on inventory levels, stock levels, and supply chain metrics.
  • Logistics and Transportation: Coordinate the transportation of medical supplies and equipment to and from the medical center, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Documentation and Accuracy: Maintain accurate and detailed records of supply chain activities, including receipts, shipments, and inventory levels.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of supply chain management principles, logistics, and inventory management.
