Job Title: Housing Navigator

Join Butler County Educational Service Center as a Housing Navigator and play a vital role in supporting youth in need.

About the Role:

The Housing Navigator will work closely with youth aged 14-24 who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and engage with these youth, providing them with supportive services and connecting them with relevant resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and engage with youth in need, assessing their strengths and weaknesses to develop a personalized plan for support.
  • Provide referrals to appropriate resources, such as housing, education, and employment services.
  • Build relationships with community partners, including schools, social services, and other organizations, to ensure a comprehensive support network for youth.
  • Collaborate with the Case Manager position to ensure seamless support for youth.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as required, including those focused on Trauma-Informed Care, Housing First, and other relevant topics.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Background in social services, youth development, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of community resources, housing laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and build trust with youth.
