Job Summary

We are seeking an exercise physiologist to join our faculty in the School of Kinesiology. The successful candidate will have a strong research agenda, a commitment to teaching excellence, and a passion for mentoring students.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct rigorous research in exercise physiology, resulting in scholarly publications and presentations in national and international venues.
  • Teach undergraduate, master's, and doctoral-level courses in exercise physiology, advising and mentoring students as needed.
  • Direct student research, including projects, theses, and dissertations.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of curricular changes for the program and School.
  • Provide institutional service as assigned by the School Director.
  • Engage in professional service within the discipline and/or community service.
Requirements
  • Earned doctorate in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Physiology, or related field by start date.
  • Postdoctoral training or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of accomplishment or potential in grant scholarship and external funding.
  • Strong publication record.
  • Evidence of innovative research.
  • Experience or demonstrated potential to teach graduate courses within the program's degree offerings.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Background or interest in fostering diversity and inclusive excellence.
  • Interest in collaboration.
  • Commitment to the values and priorities of the College of Education.
Desired Qualifications
  • Evidence of ability to effectively advise, engage, and mentor masters and PhD students.
  • Active participant in pertinent professional organizations.
