Auburn University is seeking a highly qualified Exercise Physiologist to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor in the School of Kinesiology. This is a tenure-track position that will contribute to the university's mission of advancing knowledge and improving human health through research, teaching, and service.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead research projects in exercise physiology, with a focus on biochemistry, bioenergetics, cardiovascular disease, health disparities, and other related areas.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in exercise physiology, including lectures, laboratories, and seminars.
- Advise and mentor graduate students in research projects and academic pursuits.
- Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and professional development activities.
- Engage in professional service, including presentations, publications, and collaborations with other researchers and institutions.
- Ph.D. in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Physiology, or a related field.
- Postdoctoral training or equivalent experience.
- Strong publication record and evidence of research productivity.
- Experience in teaching and mentoring graduate students.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
