About the School of KinesiologyThe School of Kinesiology is housed in the College of Education and offers M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Kinesiology.

About the PositionWe are seeking an exercise physiologist who has research expertise in the field of exercise physiology, including biochemistry of exercise, bioenergetics, cardiovascular disease, health disparities, infrared imaging, mitochondrial metabolism, protein metabolism, skeletal and cardiac muscle physiology, nutrition, sports nutrition, pediatric physiology, thermoregulation, neural/autonomic physiology, and vascular biology and physiology.
The successful candidate will have a strong record of impactful publications and citations, presentations in national and international venues, and external funding.
The candidate will also have experience in teaching undergraduate, master's, and doctoral level courses in exercise physiology and will be able to advise, engage, and mentor masters and PhD students.
The candidate will be expected to participate in the planning and implementation of curricular changes for the program and school and will provide institutional service as assigned by the School Director.
The candidate will also be expected to engage in professional service within the discipline and/or community service and participate in professional activities to ensure the well-being of the program, school, and college.
RequirementsThe successful candidate must have an earned doctorate in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Physiology, or related field by the start date.
The candidate must also have postdoctoral training or equivalent experience and evidence of accomplishment or potential in grant scholarship and external funding.
The candidate must have a strong publication record and evidence of innovative research.
The candidate must also have experience or demonstrated potential to teach graduate courses within the program's degree offerings and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
The candidate must also have a background or interest in fostering excellence and a commitment to the values and priorities of the College of Education.
