Position Summary:

As a Sales Associate at Conn's HomePlus, your primary role is to effectively present and clarify our diverse range of products and financing options while delivering exceptional customer service. Sales Associates are vital in assisting customers throughout their entire buying journey. They possess in-depth knowledge of our offerings across various categories, including electronics, appliances, furniture, and mattresses, and excel at identifying customized solutions for each customer's needs.

Sales Associates work in close collaboration with store personnel to achieve sales objectives while ensuring a satisfying shopping experience for all customers.

This position requires significant interaction with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders, with a considerable amount of time spent on the sales floor addressing product inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide customers in-person through the purchasing process, including product selection, payment methods, financing options, and delivery logistics.
  • Conduct daily outreach to existing and prospective customers.
  • Generate new sales through various business services.
  • Support colleagues and cultivate a positive, cooperative atmosphere.
  • Assist with merchandising duties and store organization, including moving, assembling, cleaning, and maintaining showroom displays.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service in accordance with company standards.
  • Stay informed about current promotions and featured products.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve customer issues.
  • Enhance and expand product knowledge across different categories.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with both existing and potential customers.
  • Achieve monthly sales goals and key performance metrics.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with credit policies and procedures.
  • Maximize sales opportunities by offering relevant services, products, and add-ons to customers.
  • Perform all duties with integrity and honesty.
  • Adhere to the company's sales process guidelines for all transactions.
  • Be open to management's requests for additional responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in Appliance, Furniture, or Electronics sales.
  • Background in Customer Service.
  • Experience in a retail environment.

Working Environment:
  • This role is situated in a retail store setting.
  • Physical requirements include prolonged standing, lifting and moving boxes, managing inventory, and using technical equipment and computers.
  • Efficient and safe handling of merchandise, including lifting items weighing up to 40 pounds or more.
