Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily execution, monitoring, and upkeep of security configurations, practices, and protocols for each Information System (IS).
  • Act as a liaison between system owners and other security personnel.
  • Ensure that chosen security measures are effectively implemented and functioning as intended throughout all stages of the IS lifecycle.
  • Maintain, review, and update system security documentation on an ongoing basis.
  • Conduct necessary IS vulnerability assessments in accordance with risk evaluation criteria.
  • Develop Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) to address identified security vulnerabilities.
  • Manage risks to ISs and other assets by coordinating corrective or mitigating actions, ensuring timely completion of POAMs.
  • Coordinate with system owners for approval of corrective or mitigating actions.
  • Monitor security measures for FBI ISs to uphold security Authorizations to Operate (ATO).
  • Upload all security control evidence to the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) application to support security control implementation during the monitoring phase.
  • Report any changes to an FBI IS, its environment, or operational needs that may impact authorization status to the system owner and IS Security Manager (ISSM).
  • Facilitate the decommissioning of ISs in collaboration with the system owner, ISSM, and ISSR.
  • Possess a solid understanding of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ATO processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in a secure facility.
  • Background in computer science or a related cybersecurity field.
  • Possess at least one of the following certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Global Information Security Professional (GISP), or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), or other certifications demonstrating relevant skill sets as outlined in DoD Instruction Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III.
  • Familiarity with security tools such as Tenable Nessus, IBM Guardium, HP WebInspect, Network Mapper (NMAP), and similar applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is preferred.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Position may require CI Polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
  • Occasional movement within the office to access files and equipment.
  • Frequent operation of computers and other office machinery.
  • Positioning oneself to maintain computers in various locations, including under desks.
  • Regular communication with colleagues and clients, which may involve delivering presentations and exchanging information accurately.

The anticipated compensation range for this role is $109,100-$181,100. Various factors can influence the final salary, including relevant experience, skills, geographic location, education, and certifications. Additionally, ManTech offers a comprehensive benefits package, which may include health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, disability coverage, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities.
