Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver security documentation, collaborating with the agency's IT department to understand and adhere to security protocols, and prepare recommendations to address cybersecurity issues.
  • Assist project teams and stakeholders in designing, implementing, and effectively managing IT controls and processes that safeguard data and sensitive information.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to incorporate security requirements into system planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Conduct threat mitigation and ensure alignment with NIST Standards.
  • Independently evaluate security artifacts provided by various sectors and assess the technical and functional adequacy of cybersecurity and information assurance controls.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in government IT financial or system testing, with a solid understanding of federal internal controls.
  • Proven experience in technical writing.
  • Ability to translate functional cybersecurity requirements into system specifications.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing multiple tasks and coordinating resources to meet scheduled objectives.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an MBI Public Trust Clearance (Active MBI Clearance is preferred).
