**Job Title:** LPN School Nurse for Coffee County Schools
**Estimated Salary:** $45,000 - $60,000 per year
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Substitute School Nurse. As a member of our Coordinated School Health team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our students.
**Responsibilities:
- Assess chief complaints and provide necessary care to students.
- Implement nursing actions to promote, maintain, or restore health, prevent illness, and affect rehabilitation under the direction of supervising RNs.
- Provide emergency and standard first aid.
- Promote and assist in controlling communicable diseases.
- Maintain confidential health records and comply with HIPAA, FERPA, and the Patient Privacy Act.
- Monitor student health and communicate with the Coordinator of Coordinated School Health and/or Lead Nurse when student health issues may require additional services.
- Administer approved medical procedures and maintenance health treatments within the school.
**Requirements:
- Current licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Tennessee.
- Graduate of an accredited program and five years of recent nursing experience.
- Current CPR Certification in BLS.
- A serviceable automobile for required travel.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Competent technological skills.
