Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Coffee Regional Medical Center.

About the Role

  • This is a full-time position responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and providing excellent customer service.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in radiography, be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, and possess strong technical and interpersonal skills.
  • The successful candidate will work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.
  • Duties will include preparing patients for examinations, positioning them correctly, and operating various medical equipment such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI devices.
  • The selected individual will also assist in maintaining quality assurance records, adhering to radiation safety guidelines, and participating in ongoing education and training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic exams using various modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopy.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns they may have.
  • Position patients correctly for optimal image quality, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the examination.
  • Operate medical equipment, adjusting settings as needed to achieve high-quality images.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records, including patient information, exam results, and quality control data.
  • Comply with radiation safety guidelines, following established protocols to minimize exposure.
  • Attend educational seminars and workshops to stay current with industry developments and best practices.
  • Promote a positive and respectful work environment, communicating effectively with colleagues and patients alike.

Requirements

  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher preferred
  • One year of relevant experience in radiology or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of radiography principles, procedures, and safety protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Aptitude for prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently
