Medical Leave Administrator Job Description

Kodak is seeking a highly skilled Medical Leave Administrator to join our WW Health, Safety and Environment Team in Rochester, NY.

We are looking for a professional with experience in administering state and federal medical leaves, including FMLA and Paid Family Leave. The successful candidate will provide support to the Manager of U.S. Medical Services and Workers' Compensation and will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with contracted nurse case managers to identify employees out on medical leaves
  • Obtain necessary documentation to justify medical leave benefits
  • Maintain pay coding for employees on extended medical leave
  • Review absence reports to reconcile pay coding and identify errors
  • Administer leaves under FMLA, Paid Family Leave, and Kodak's short-term disability program
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with HIPAA privacy regulations
  • Prepare and review absence reports to verify accuracy
  • Communicate with HR, supervisors, regulatory agencies, medical offices, and employees

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience administering state and federal medical leaves
  • Knowledge of U.S. Department of Labor FMLA regulations and New York State Paid Family Leave laws
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain professionalism in challenging situations
  • Able to produce high-quality work with attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Ability to analyze problems and identify solutions
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Outlook

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in administering medical leaves
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
