Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Medication Assistant to join our team in a full-time evening shift position. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medication and providing personal care assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Pacific Retirement Services' Core Values: excellence, innovation, integrity, stewardship, compassion, and collaboration.
  • Advocate for resident rights and interests in all aspects of your role.
  • Communicate changes in resident condition to licensed nurse teams promptly.
  • Administer medication according to community policy and procedure, and with written physician or nurse practitioner orders.
  • Document medication administration accurately and thoroughly.
  • Participate in ongoing education, training, and in-service programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Provide personal care assistance to residents as needed.
  • Encourage residents to participate in social activities and provide meaningful interactions.
  • Respond to resident calls and contribute to level of care assessments as requested.
  • Report and record medication errors and near misses through incident reports.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience providing care as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), preferably in a long-term care environment.
  • Valid Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) certification by state Board of Nursing.
  • Current and valid CPR and first aid certification.
  • Computer skills, including previous experience with clinical software programs.
