Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Assistant to enhance the quality of life for our residents in a vibrant and supportive environment.

Role Responsibilities

As a vital member of our care team, you will:

  • Administer prescribed medications through various approved methods, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any irregularities to the nursing staff.
  • Follow the "6 Rights/3 Checks" protocol for safe medication delivery and maintain accurate electronic records.
  • Perform capillary blood glucose readings and manage narcotic counts at the beginning and end of your shifts.
  • Assist in ensuring timely medication orders and take on leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Charge Nurse.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role, preferably in Assisted Living or Long-Term Care settings.
  • Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and a Food Handler's Card.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks effectively and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Consent to and pass a criminal background check.
