Medical Assistant Position at Adventist Health

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team at Adventist Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing essential support services to our patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation: Ensure exam rooms are set up and patients are checked in, maintaining a patient recall system and continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals, and transfers.
  • Patient Care: Obtain vital signs, report significant findings, and pertinent patient observations to the clinic physician.
  • Diagnostic Testing: Perform audiometry and vision testing as required.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Education/GED or equivalent is preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA), American Medical Certification Association (CMAC), American Medical Technologist (RMA), California Certifying Board of Medical Assistant (CCMA), Multiskilled Medical Certification Institute (National Certifying Board of Medical Assistants or NCMA) partnered with Nation center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or equivalent combination of licensure and experience is required.
  • Facility Specific License/Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or California Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Medical Assistant - NCCT (NCCT) or Certified Medical Assistant- NHA (CMA-NHA) or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Medical Assistant (MA) or American Medical Tech Board MA (MA-AMT) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is required.
