Quality Assurance Specialist

Our Global Instrumentation & Control (I&C) division is in search of a Quality Assurance Specialist for our production facility. The Global I&C sector is dedicated to creating intricate, electro-mechanical instrumentation systems utilized in the commercial nuclear sector for clients worldwide.

The Quality Assurance Specialist will actively engage as a member of the Quality Assurance team to ensure adherence to Westinghouse's Quality Management System, customer contract stipulations, and industry regulations.

In this role, the Quality Assurance Specialist will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

  • Develop, recommend, and implement Quality policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with customer expectations, relevant standards, and government regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with both domestic and international clients and suppliers to address programmatic issues.
  • Establish and execute project surveillance initiatives to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
  • Participate in self-assessments and internal audits of Westinghouse Global I&C departments to confirm adherence to applicable QA codes and standards.
  • Draft corrective action reports and collaborate with functional teams to resolve issues, ensuring programmatic compliance.
  • Represent Westinghouse and provide insights during external QA audits conducted by clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Verify the accuracy of operational procedures, test result documentation, and review inspection protocols to ensure compliance with purchase order requirements and design specifications.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical, or quality discipline preferred.
  • 1 - 2 years of experience or equivalent experience in Quality Control.
  • Understanding of quality assurance principles and concepts.
  • Familiarity with the commercial nuclear industry or other regulated sectors.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
Travel Requirements:
  • Possession of a valid passport (or the ability to obtain one) is necessary.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
