Job Summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a skilled Lead Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Repair Heavy Equipment: Diagnose and repair complex issues with heavy equipment, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
  • Read and Interpret Vehicle Condition Reports: Analyze reports to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repairs.
  • Communicate with Supervisors and Operators: Collaborate with supervisors and equipment operators to ensure maintenance needs are met and equipment is running efficiently.
  • Complete Maintenance Documentation: Accurately record maintenance activities, including parts usage and applied times.
  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Ensure a clean and safe work area, adhering to OSHA and organizational standards.
  • Train and Develop Junior Technicians: Mentor and train junior technicians to ensure the development of a skilled maintenance team.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Equivalent of a high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repair experience, or 6 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles.
Physical Requirements
  • Handle Tools and Equipment: Ability to handle tools and equipment with fine motor skills.
  • Reach and Climb: Ability to reach with hands and arms, and climb heights often greater than 4 feet.
  • Lift Equipment: Ability to occasionally lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
