Position Overview

We are actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Fuel Service Technician to become a vital part of our team at Ryder System, Inc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently fuel, wash, and detail vehicles to maintain high standards.
  • Conduct multi-point inspections on incoming units as per company protocols; monitor tire pressure and oil levels; report any service concerns to the maintenance team.
  • Accurately document fuel transactions and oversee fuel and DEF inventory management.
  • Maneuver heavy-duty vehicles as required.
  • Execute minor maintenance tasks, such as tire repairs, under supervision.
  • Uphold the cleanliness and organization of the fuel island area in accordance with Six Sigma standards; perform basic facility maintenance as directed.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven customer service abilities; capable of understanding customer needs.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with software applications.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred.
  • Must pass a drug test and a DOT physical.
