Job Title: Help Desk Support Specialist

At Volume Integration, we are seeking a highly skilled Help Desk Support Specialist to join our innovative IT team. As a key member of our support staff, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our employees, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing first-line support for basic software and hardware issues.
  • Assisting with office relocations, including computer disassembly and setup.
  • Setting up and supporting basic user phone configurations.
  • Managing user accounts, including creating, removing, or disabling access.
  • Handling password resets and troubleshooting related issues.
  • Installing and reconfiguring software as needed.
  • Re-imaging operating systems as required.
  • Maintaining vendor contact information and managing vendor relations.
  • Overseeing lab and network areas.
  • Decommissioning unused hardware.
  • Updating IT documentation and user support materials.
  • Providing support to Tier 3 administrators when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 5 years of equivalent Helpdesk Support experience.
  • Expertise in Helpdesk support with a focus on Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with Active Directory, including adding and removing user accounts.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in completing tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong aptitude for learning new software applications.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, particularly in documenting issues and following established procedures.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Security+ with CEU's, are required.
