Accounts Payable Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in South Seattle, WA. This is a 6-month contract position that requires full-time work at the client location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process invoices and expense reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure accurate coding.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process payment batches in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain and update vendor files, including W-9 forms and other necessary documentation.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and manage payment terms.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any outstanding balances or issues.
  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger and prepare monthly AP aging reports.
Requirements:
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferred).
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, financial reporting, and general accounting principles (GAAP).
