As an employee-owned organization, a significant portion of our compensation package includes the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), ensuring that all employees have a vested interest in our success. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a segment of a client portfolio for select accounts.
  • Provide backup support during turnover and growth phases.
  • Assist with onboarding new hires.
  • Address back-office service team requirements, including:
    • Creating and printing benefit and new hire guides.
    • Providing EASE support through research, auditing, and ensuring accuracy.
    • Gathering information for pre-RFP processes.
    • Conducting marketing and spreadsheet tasks.
    • Updating the brokerage builder system.
    • Ensuring compliance by obtaining Schedule As and collaborating with 5500 vendors.
    • Notifying carriers of late payments and confirming receipt.
    • Publishing a monthly newsletter.
  • Coordinate and communicate with carriers, maintaining an updated contact sheet and scheduling meetings.
  • Assist clients as needed and provide additional support to various teams.
  • Support agency initiatives in effectively managing agency/carrier relationships.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum of 1 year of administrative experience, preferably in a service or insurance context.
  • Familiarity with group medical, dental, disability, life, voluntary products, COBRA, ERISA, FSA, HSA, and HRA plans is preferred.
  • Knowledge of agency carriers, brokerage marketing, and underwriting is advantageous.
  • Understanding of fully insured and self-insured products is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly strong math and Excel skills.
  • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented approach with effective problem-solving abilities and minimal supervision.
  • Strong time management and self-management skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proactive in identifying and addressing departmental needs.
  • Capability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness to learn and understand various issues related to human resources and benefits.
  • Preferred: Minnesota Life and Health License.
